- Over 60’s BSL users Group;
We have a over 60's Group at Deafconnect initially to offer people that are over 60 and have knowledge of BSL to have the opportunity to meet, offer support and socialise. The group will be facilitated by users of this group and the group runs every 2nd friday in each month. Admission Fee £1 - "PARDON" - Deafconnect's Hard of Hearing Group;
Pardon is an established Hard of Hearing Group at Deafconnect offering people with hearing difficulties the opportunity to meet, offer mutual support and socialise. The group is facilitated by a member of the Deafconnect team and activities very much depends on what the group as a whole want to do. Admission Fee £1 - Tinnitus group;
The aim of the group is to provide information about the condition and any on-going research, to provide speakers on various topics that may be helpful, to offer the opportunity to meet other people with the same problem for mutual support and to swap ideas for coping. Admission Fee £1.00 - Young People's Group;
The programme is decided by the members, but is mostly socialising and having fun. It is an opportunity to bring together different young people from the deaf community and make friends! The group has both BSL users and deaf oral young people and those who have a mixture of sign and speech. The group is facilitated by Kim Wood, she is hearing & can use sign language.
